Earning DKP:

DKP is earned per hour and per boss. Boss DKP is determined by farm status.

Hourly DKP - 2 DKP
Farm Boss - 1 DKP
Non-farm boss - 2 DKP
First time kill boss - 4 DKP

DKP reaches a "phantom" cap at 400

If a player reaches the DKP cap, all DKP earned will be phantom DKP which will be completely removed when an item is purchased. For example if you are at 445 DKP, and you bid DKP on a tier helm, you will be charged 45 DKP for the item, bringing you down to 400 DKP total. On the DKP site it will look like -20 DKP for the Helm then a -25 DKP adjustment for "Phantom DKP".

Loot Procedure:

Loot Master Calls for DKP tells
If you would like to spend DKP on an item, send the Loot master a tell.
- Include any conditionals in your tell(e.g. main-spec upgrade, off-spec, sidegrade, PVP, will pass if someone lower than my DKP wants).
- You may send a tell regardless of if your current DKP balance exceeds the item cost(your DKP balance can go negative).
The loot master evaluates players who sent tells for (1) loot priority and (2)current DKP.
The loot master gives the item to the person with the highest DKP who's use for the item is in the highest priority.
If no DKP tells are recieved by the loot master, a roll is called for. Rolls are for sidegrades, off-spec items, and PvP use items.
The loot master loots the item to the player with the highest roll, regardless of use

Loot priority:

DKP tells
1. PVE main spec upgrade - Raiders/Initiates
  - some armor priority may be enforced, depending on magnitude of upgrade, or best in slot considerations
  - certain class necessity (vs. stat stick) priority may be enforced. e.g. Ranged weps for hunters, etc
2. Main spec upgrade - Members
3. PVE sidegrade/offspec
4. PVP item
Rolls
1. Highest roll regardless of use. If you want to take an item that is not of logical use to your class you may be charged an Abyss Crystal by the Guild Bank to take the item.

Getting upgrades off Rolls or DKP hording at the expense of your performance:

If an item is a significant PVE upgrade you must DKP it. Failure to do so may result in a DKP penalty.
If you do not DKP an item that is clearly an upgrade(minimal or not), you cannot recieve it from rolls.
What constitutes as a sidegrade is at the discretion of the officers. Generally if both items are itemized to the same effectiveness, but with different stat focus(e.g. hit instead of crit) it is a sidegrade. We may call BS on your horrible tier set bonuses or trying to roll on a 50 AP upgrade because you lose 15 hit.
We hope that with the DKP 'phantom' cap, we discourage hording because it would not be worth passing on many minor to large upgrades for 'that one item' that probably doesn't amount to those upgrades

ITEM COSTS

Tier pieces will cost 20 DKP
Non Tier items will cost 10 DKP
One Handed Weapons will cost 20 DKP*
Two Handed Weapons will cost 40 DKP*
Off-Hand Weapons will cost 20 DKP
Wands/Relics, Ranged Weapons for Melee: 20 DKP*

*Exceptions:

Hunters: 1 handed weapons will cost 10 DKP each, a hunter 2 hander will cost 20dkp. Ranged weapons will be 40 DKP.
Titan's Grip Warriors: As long as the warriors rading spec is Titan's Grip 2 handed Maces, Axes and Swords that will be used for PVE will be given at 20 DKP each.
