Last weekend i got a set of tank gear for my death knight, it seems kind of fun, so when i hit 80 i'm going to be reworking my spec more toward tanking.

I'm thinking about trying an unholy/blood spec.
Do any dks that are experienced with tanking have any opinions or suggestions about the spec?

Dropped spell deflection (3pts), and magic supression (5pts).
Picked up unholy command (2pts), and reaping (3pts) for the increased uptime on Blade barrier but people can't seem to agree on wether or not the blood runes that have been converted to death runes still count as a blood rune for the effect of the talent. Have any of you tried this out? **EDIT** read some more, apparently it goes by the cooldow
Also switched toughness (3pts), for improved icy touch (3pts) since the reduced attack speed sounds like it would be more useful overall.

21/3/47 Unholy

**EDIT** read some more, apparently blade barrier goes by the cooldown of the rune slots regardless of what the actual rune in them at the time is.

No, i haven't actually, when i posted this i didn't know he was playing a DK tank, the spec i have seems to be working fine mostly, i might look into changing it around a bit for single target threat though, cause i was having some problems keeping agro off krazyblade the other night in vault.

I use a mixture of all 3 but i always go deep enough frost to get howling blast, once you try it, its hard to not have it for tanking. It rules. 23/32/16 is what i use, it gives me both blood and unholy stam buffs and i still get howling blast in frost tree.
