Taking a break

As you noticed (or maybe not, I really haven't been on much since wotlk) I haven't logged in at all for several weeks now. Last month was sort of a trial period for me. I turned the account on just to see if I'd play it enough to justify the 15 bucks a month or not. Well, I didn't. I actually forgot to cancel the sub, but a change in my debit card took care of it for me, and I haven't reactivated at this time.

I'm sure I'll be back. Typically, I make a post like this, and within a few days, I've decided to do what I said I wasn't. But at this time, the account remains closed. I feel like I've been stuck in BC since wotlk began. I spent so much time preparing for raids and farming and making gear and farming and so forth, that I was reluctant to really move forward, and by the time I saw that I had to, I was behind everyone's progression and had shitty gear (by WOTLK standards) and did shitty DPS. I couldn't even get friggin' heroic runs. People said I didn't do enough damage, or they checked my gear and I got the boot. So, I guess frustration with feeling stuck, and diminished time capacity to play, coupled with trying to find whatever free time I have to play my guitar, pretty much finally took my heart out of this game.

After lots of thought, and much consideration, I decided to move DB to a normal server to play with some friends of ours. When you factor out the ganking, and having to move areas to get away from griefers, it leaves alot more time to actually play and enjoy the game, instead of continually being pissed because all I want to do is farm or something with the 30 free minutes I have sometimes, yet little Billy is home from school today making my life miserable. I actually parked at a mixed flight point until I timed out, and when I logged back in, was still alive. GOD that was awesome.

BL has been my home since day 1, and I've seen this server rise to mighty heights, and fall to devastating lows. I wish you all luck in all your endeavors, I'll poke my head in here from time to time and say Hi and see how you all are doing. Take care of yourselves.
